Heräilimme omaan rauhalliseen aikaan ja aamiaisen jälkeen lähdimme seikkailemaan busseilla kohti kansallismuseota. Bussisuunnistus oli suurpiirteisesti tehty :). Tästä syystä odotimme bussia lähes tunnin ja kävelimme toisessa päässä melkoisen matkan.
Canberran kansallismuseo on hyvin omalaatuinen ja moderni. Puolentoista tunnin kävelyn jälkeen olimme ihmeissämme sisältä löytyvistä esineistä, mutta täysin hukassa aikajanan ja sijaintimme suhteen.
Australialaiset ovat kolikoiden kanssa käyttäneet saman tason luovuutta. 50 sentin kolikolla voi tyrmätä harmaajättikengurun pitkänkin matkan päästä, jos vain jaksaa viskata sen. Luonnollisesti dollarin ja kahden dollarin kolikot ovat pienempiä kuin 20 sentin kolikko, mikä kalpenee koossaan vain 50 senttiselle. Samalla logiikalla dollari on isompi kuin kaksi dollari. 10 ja 5 senttiset ovat taasen mikro kokoluokkaa. Helppoa kuin mikä!
Iltapäivällä vietimme teehetken Suen ja Miken kanssa heidän luonaan. Sieltä matkustelimme Patrician ja Rogerin kanssa ravintolaan syömään ja nyt vietämme rauhallista ja lataavaa iltaa.
We woke at our own phase and after the breakfast we started our bus adventure towards the national museum. Our planning was done more or less at general level :). That’s why we waited for a bus nearly an hour and walk quite a bit at the other end.
Canberra’s national museum is very unique and modern. We were amazed by the things found in there by walking only an hour and a half. We were also completely lost on the time line and our location. It was quite hard to find our way out!
Australian coins have seen the same amount of creativity as their national museum. You can knock a great gray kangaroo out cold with a 50 cent coin even from a great distance, provided that you have the strength to throw it. Naturally one dollar and two dollar coins are smaller than the 20 cent coin. With the same logic one dollar is bigger than two dollars. 10 and 5 cents are micro size stuff. Easy isn’t it?
We had afternoon tee with Sue and Mike at their house. From there we travelled to a restaurant to have our dinner with Patricia and Roger. Now we are spending a quiet and energizing evening.
